Former India star Shikhar Dhawan opened for Karnali Yaks and hit his first half-century of the tournament to take the team to a respectable total of 149/5. Dhawan scored an unbeaten 72 from 51 balls in an uncharastic knock. He got no support from the other end and had to single handedly stretch his team's total.
Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus was the pick of the bowlers with two wickets to his name.
Chasing 150, Kathmandu Gurkhas had a poor start and their top four was back in the dug out within first eight overs. However, their lower midde order stood up with an outstanding batting effort to bring back the game in Gurkhas' favour. Erasmus made 38 from 28 and Sumit Mahajan top scored with an unbeaten 40 from 37 to guide Gurkhas to victory with just three balls left. Captain Karan KC hit a spectacular 10-ball 28 to help his team win the thriller.
