The match began with the UAE U-19 team winning the toss and opting to bat first in a virtual quarter-final against India U-19 in the U-19 ACC Asia Cup 2024 on Wednesday at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
India dominated the game from the start, restricting UAE in both batting and bowling. The UAE batters managed to post only 137 runs in 44 overs before being bowled out.

Suryavanshi was the star of the chase, hitting the winning six when India needed just one run to claim victory. Unstoppable from the first ball, he dominated the bowlers and led the charge with a blistering 76* off 46 balls.

With the bat, he dominated as well, scoring 67* off 51 balls to help India secure a commanding victory. He also became player of the match.
The opening pair's partnership remained unbroken, finishing with both batters well set.
With this win, India join Bangladesh and Sri Lanka from Group B and Pakistan from Group A in the semi-finals.
