The Saad Baig-led Pakistan U-19 team started their winning run right from the toss, where they opted to bat first. The team posted a total of 243/6 in 50 overs, with Mohammad Riaz Ullah leading the way, scoring an unbeaten 66 off 78 balls. Sahibzada Khan also contributed with 45 off 69 balls.

When the time came for Japan to chase down the target of 244 runs, they faltered badly with the bat, with none of the batters reaching the 30-run mark. Nihar Parmarpogo88 was the only player to score in double digits, making 25 off 60 balls.

It was Mohammad Huzaifa's exceptional bowling performance, taking 5 wickets while conceding only 8 runs in 6.1 overs, that helped Pakistan secure a big victory. This win propelled them to the top of the Group A table with 6 points.

Pakistan came into the match having already confirmed their ticket to the semifinal with two wins in the first two matches. They have defeated both India and United Arab Emirates in consecutive matches to start the tournament with a bang.

Japan, on the other hand, have suffered one-sided defeats to UAE and India in the tournament, losing by 273 and 211 runs, respectively. On Wednesdat, they faced yet another humiliating defeat against Pakistan.

Pakistan U-19 will now take on Bangladesh in their semi-final fixture on December 6, Friday. Meanwhile, Japan will head home winless from the tournament.
